Social responsibility
In January 2013 NewCo took the decision to donate funds to those who need help for their welfare and development. Together with our global business partners and colleagues NewCo searched within Education, Health and Environment.
For each container NewCo shipped during this last year, we have allocated US$50 for donation to the foundation listed below.
INDIA
In the city of Guntur, with the local assistance of its Indian partner S.B.IMPEX, Newco helps two schools for children, specializing in assisting the blind and mentally and physically handicapped
The schools – Dakshinya Institute for The Mentally Handicapped and Sri Shirdi Sai School – are run by professionals and all donations are accounted for and audited by recognized groups. They are run by voluntary organizations with the support of banks and donations from companies and individuals.
The performance over the last years has demonstrated the transparency of the organization and considerable improvements have been achieved amongst those in need.
It is our belief that this support will improve conditions for these very poor, marginalized groups and will help make their lives in the region more comfortable.
